Taís Vilela holds degrees in Advertising and Journalism from PUC-Rio and a postgraduate degree in Digital Media from Senac Rio. She has over 15 years of experience in producing journalistic content for audiovisual platforms. She has worked for both national and international media outlets, including the UOL news portal and the Associated Press news agency, covering major events such as the Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, the BRICS summit, and the assassination of councilwoman Marielle Franco. At FGV Comunicação, she coordinates the audiovisual production lab Mídia Lab and teaches screenwriting and content production workshops for undergraduate students. She was the Director of Photography for the documentary “Artificial Democracies” and directed and wrote the institutional documentary “Money Is a Seed – Stories of Reparation in Brumadinho,” which explores the impact of a cash transfer program on communities affected by the dam collapse in the Brazilian city of Brumadinho.
